Pump.fun monthly revenue hits new all-time high with $82.8m
Pump.fun has recorded its highest monthly revenue in history. The meme coin launchpad made a revenue of $82.78 million in November, soaring 207% from the month prior.
According to data from DeFi Llama, pump.fun’s November revenue skyrocketed to $82.78 million, the highest it has ever been since its launch in March 2024. The number is bound to increase as the month is not over, but it has already contributed to more than 35% of its total earnings.
The launchpad saw a 207% increase from its October monthly revenue which amounted to only $30.5 million, indicating a massive uptick of user activity and transaction volumes coming in from the platform in November alone.
Based on data from Dune, the platform hailed by many as the meme coin marketplace also saw its highest number of token launches in history on Nov. 20 this year, with 69,046 Solana(SOL)-powered tokens launched. Meanwhile, in the past two weeks pump.fun has seen a total volume of $4.15 billion.
Despite the evident jump in user activity on the site, pump.fun has recently come under fire for its livestream feature, which has been used by coin developers to broadcast harmful content exhibiting self-harm and other dangerous acts.
Following the onslaught of online complaints and concerns over content moderation on the site, pump.fun’s livestream feature, which was launched on the site in August 2024, has since been disabled.
The team acknowledged the community’s concern and enacted additional measures to ensure user’s safety, which include removing inappropriate content and flagging NSFW materials.
In Nov. 23, pump.fun’s founder, alon, addressed the issue in an X post. Alon claimed that the pump.fun team has been actively moderating content on the sites since its launch days.
“We have a large team of moderators working around the clock and an internal team of engineers that’s working on helping us deal with increased scale of coins, streams, and comments,” said alon in the post.
Despite the fact that there is content moderation, alon admitted that it isn’t perfect. Therefore, the founder urged users to report any harmful content to pump.fun’s support channels.
